How to photograph kids without the stress

So here are 4 tips to have a successful shoot with kids.

1. Relax. If your kid needs some time to run around, cry, or whine… let them. I've noticed that a lot of parents get embarrassed by their kids simply being kids. So they end up reprimanding them during the shoot. You can't expect an upset child to perform well, so give them some time to get their energy out. While they're getting themselves together, we can get a few shots of you.

2. Make sure they get a nap in before the session. If a toddler is sleepy, no one is going to have a good time. Make sure your child comes fed and well-rested.

3. The "moments" will be quick! If your child is acting rowdy, you may not even notice when I've gotten the shot. Please don't stress. I will tell you if something isn't working. I can see the stress on parents' faces when they feel their child is running the "moment."
